Projects

Building Solutions at Home. Creating Possibilities for the Region.

Advancing an integrated approach to sargassum and suitable waste streams with strategic partners and stakeholders.

Current Focus

Skydrate Inc. is currently developing projects that respond to environmental challenges.

Our projects create opportunities for innovation, investment, employment and local enterprise. Our current focus is Antigua and Barbuda, where we are working with strategic partners and stakeholders to advance an integrated approach to sargassum and suitable waste streams.

One coordinated model.

Skydrate is working to develop an integrated programme that explores how sargassum and other suitable waste materials can be responsibly collected, processed and transformed into useful resources.

The initiative is intended to bring together environmental management, appropriate technology, local participation and commercial opportunity within one coordinated model.

Key Areas of Focus

Building the complete ecosystem.

  • Reduced pressure on waste-disposal systems
  • Cleaner and more resilient communities
  • Greater economic value from resources currently treated as waste

A Regional Vision

Antigua and Barbuda first. Caribbean potential.

Sargassum and waste-management challenges extend throughout the Caribbean. Our goal is to develop experience and solutions in Antigua and Barbuda that, where successful and appropriate, can be adapted through partnerships with other Caribbean territories.
